Life

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

If you fast forwarded to the end of your life, is this what people will say about you?

Pleasure

“Anything that refreshes you without diminishing, distracting or destroying the final goal is a legitimate pleasure. Any pleasure that jeopardizes the sacred right of another is an illegitimate pleasure. Any pleasure no matter how good if not kept in balance will distort reality or destroy appetite. All pleasure is bought with a price; for the legitimate pleasure you pay before partaking; for the illegitimate you pay after partaking.” -RZ

Sin

“Whatever weakens your reasoning, impairs the tenderness of your conscience, obscures your sense of God or takes away your relish for
spiritual things in short if anything increases the power and authority of the flesh over the spirit that to you become sin however good in itself.” – SW

Kingdom of Heaven

A King may move a man, a father may claim a son, but remember that even when those who move you be Kings, or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God, you cannot say, “But I was told by others to do thus.” Or that, “Virtue was not convenient at the time.” This will not suffice. Remember that.
